Find out why a Chelsea Pensioner visited our factory

Our team was highly honoured when a Chelsea pensioner visited our factory recently. Norman Mitchell is 97 and came to see what goes on at the company where his parents worked and fell in love back in the 1920s.

Norman was a Grenadier Guard for 18 years and is proud both of his armed service and of the service his parents gave to producing lighting from our London factory over the years they were employed by the company. His father,William Mitchell, was a designer while his mother, Adeline Mundy made metal frames for lampshades.

He was fascinated to see our work first-hand and we were enthralled to hear his stories from his very interesting life that now sees him living in the world famous Royal Hospital in Chelsea.
